Access Statement

Car Parking.

There are 9 designated Car Parking Spaces on our private land in front of our Guest House with direct access to Reception. We have one allocated Blue Badge Car Parking Space.

Access for Wheelchair Users and Guests with Limited Mobility.

The Old Rectory has direct access at the rear of the property for Guests who are wheelchair users. This is all on one level from the car parking space but avoids the reception area and entrance is via the Dining Room. The doors are extra wide to accommodate standard wheelchair access. We have one bedroom which is designated for guests who have wheelchairs or limited mobility. The en-suite bathroom for this bedroom has an extra wide shower cubicle with a shower seat and grab rail. There is also two pull cords which would activate an alarm to alert us that you require assistance. The Dining Room is on the same level as this bedroom and there are no steps. Please inform us prior to your arrival if you need assistance or have any specific requirements for access.

Visually Impaired Guests.

The Old Rectory is well-lit and has good colour contrast in bedrooms and public areas.  Reading lights are provided to supplement bedroom lighting. Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are welcome.

Guests with Special Dietary Needs.

We are happy to meet the needs of guests with special dietary requirements.  Prior notice is appreciated.

Guests with Allergies.

The entrance reception is coir matting, the dining room has oak flooring. In the bedrooms, non-feather pillows and duvets can be provided on request.

Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing Guests and vulnerable Guests.

Procedures are in place to assist guests in case of fire or other emergency.
